camera case

so my sister’s b-day is coming up (in like a week and a half) so i decided to make her a camera case (currently she’s keeping it in a sock…)
only problem: how to make it?!?!?!

i’ve made one for myself, but i know what i like, and ya, she’s my sister, but still, i REALLY REALLY want her to like it!!!
so ideas so far:
– houndstooth (but i’m not sure if she’s still as big as a fan or not…)
– cabled (i kinda want something strong, b/c my case is just stockinette st and stretched out…)
– crocheted (which, to me, feels like it’d be stronger)

but i also want it to be interesting!!!! i have lots of cool buttons, but i’m still not really sure!!!
