Inspired Bracelet

May 12, 2010

So I was inspired by this “Julie Cuff”, which I failed at making! (but will be trying again, soon!!!)

Julie Cuff

anyways…here’s what I made instead!

You Will Need:
– yarn (I used Lily’s Sugar’n Cream: Rose Pink and Yellow, medium, 100% cotton)
– yarn needle
– button (w/loop on bottom)

Size:
made for a 6in circumference wrist (you can easily add length on the straps, so no worries)
flower is 2 inches wide

Pattern:

Flower
basically the flower is the inside flower from the Julie Cuff, but not quite
Ch 5, sl st to join in a ring
taking the yarn through the middle of the ring, sc 10
*ch 3, sc in next sc* around
sc in the ch 3 spaces, sl st in the gap between 2 ch 3s
sl st, cut yarn, and secure ends

Strap #1:
across from one of the loops, in PINK, join and sc 3
ch 3, dc 2, turn
ch 3, dc 3 (the third one will go through the ch3 from the row before), turn
*ch 3, dc 3*  do this 3 times (feel free to add an extra row here…)
ch 3, dc 2, cut yarn, and secure ends
add the button on the end! 🙂

Strap #2:
across from Strap #1, in Pink, join and sc 3
ch 3, dc 2, turn
ch 3, dc 3 (the third one will go through the ch3 from the row before), turn
*ch 3, dc 3* do this twice (again, feel free to add and extra row here, or maybe even a row of just sc – whatever will make it fit)
ch 7 and attach with sl st to other side of the strap making a loop, secure and cut yarn, weave in ends

grrr it wouldn’t let me crop this properly…sorry 😦
