Small Flower Bracelet

May 12, 2010

You Will Need:
– yarn (I used Lily Sugar’n Cream: Rose Pink and Yellow, medium, 100% cotton)
– crochet hook – size D (3.25mm)
– a button that has a loop on the bottom (optional)
– yarn needle

Size:
The one that I am posting a pattern for is for a wrist 6 inches – if you need a bigger size, try adding extra ch to each strap in the beginning (6 sc for each inch – so 2 extra on Strap #1, and 4 for Strap #2 (and so on))

Pattern:

Flower:
Ch 5 and join in circle
sc 8 times – drawing the yarn through the middle of the circle
*ch3, sc in next sc* all the way around (you should have 7 loops)
sc in the ch 3, sl st in the gap btwn each ch 3
sl st, cut yarn, and secure ends

Strap #1:
ch 12, turn
*sc 2, sl st 2* across
ch 8 and attach on the end
mirror the other side (*sc 2, sl st 2* across)
attach to the flower (doesn’t matter where) – I used sl sts, but it doesn’t really matter

Strap #2:
(if you DO NOT WANT a cloth button, see the note in *** below, otherwise, continue!)
ch 10, turn
*sc 2, sl st 2* across
sc around end (about 2 scs)
mirror the other side (*sc 2, sl st 2* across)
attach to the flower (across form strap #1) – I used sl sts, but it doesn’t really matter

Button
Ch 4, join in circle
sc 3, inc 1 (5 sc)
sc 2, inc 1, sc 2 (6 sc)
sc 2, dec 1, sc 2 (5 sc)
sc 2, dec 1, sc (4 sc)
st st, and cut yarn
attach to the end of  strap #2, secured ends

*******if you don’t want a cloth button follow this…*****
for Strap #2
start with Ch 14, instead of Ch 10
then you can add your own button on the end, but you’d sew it on top of the end of Strap #2 instead of at the end of it
